BOB BLAYDEN
CGR, CAPS

Founded the company as Bob Blayden Contracting Service in 1975.  Blayden Design/Build became the new company name in 1992.  He acts as Sales/Estimator, as well as production supervisor.  Bob is an active member of the Master Builders Association of King & Snohomish Counties.  He has served as the Vice President of the Master Builders Association Remodelers Council and is currently on the Board of Directors of the MBA and Building Industry Association of Washington.  He is also a past Chairman of the state Remodelers Council.  Bob was honored to be chosen the 1993 BIAW Remodeler of the Year and the February 1994 Remodelor of the Month for the National Association of Home Builders Remodelors™ Council.  At the national level, Bob serves on the Business Development Committee of the National Association of Home Builders’ Remodelors™ Council and he is a NAHB National Director.  Bob’s devotion to his work reflects his desire to raise the level of professionalism in the remodeling industry.

SHIRLEY BLAYDEN, CGR

Is Secretary/Treasurer for the company.  Shirley is a past chair of the Master Builders Association’s Remodelers Council.  She has served on the Board of Directors for the Master Builders as well as the Building Association of Washington.  She has also served as President of the Greater Renton Business & Professional Women, Vice Chair of the Renton School District Citizens Advisory Committee for Special Education, and was the 1992-93 Chairperson of the Board for the Greater Renton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  She chaired the Remodelers Council of the Building Industry Association of Washington in 2001/2002 and was named 2001 State Remodeler of the Year.  She is currently on the Board of Governors for MBA University.

VIRGIL KROONTJE
Sales/Estimator, is a Certified Construction Estimator.  He is the proverbial right hand man!  With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, he is a major asset to the company.  As dedicated as he is to his job, Virgil still finds time for his 4 children, 4 grandchildren, and various activities with his church, serving as a staff member, as a church leader, and singing in the church choir.
